Rev. Paulo LLanco Senior Pastor

Rev. Paulo Llanco is from Peru and was ordained as a minister (Elder) in 2014 by the Methodist Church of Peru. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Communication from the National University of the Center of Peru. In 2024, he graduated from Boston University School of Theology with a Master of Divinity degree. Pastor Llanco developed his ministry by establishing a new church in Peru, located in a highly impoverished area of Lima known as Ventanilla. He is distinguished by his commitment to fostering the participation of children and adolescents within the church.

He found affirmation of his pastoral calling through his work with children and adolescents, and later through his involvement with various emerging congregations in the poorest sectors of Lima, the capital of Peru. In this new chapter—following the completion of his master’s studies here in Boston, USA—he carries out his pastoral ministry with the Hispanic community at St Andrews UMC, serving within a context marked by significant need and suffering. In this role, he has strengthened the church’s social ministry by providing free food to the most impoverished families in Jamaica Plain, the neighborhood where the church is located.
