St. Andrew’s United Methodist Church in Jamaica Plain (2026)—the only church in our Conference with a Spanish-speaking majority—recently commemorated 55 years of Hispanic ministry and 154 years since its founding. We move forward with spirit, hope, and faith in God, who guides this ministry. It is faith—expressed through action—that has sustained us throughout this journey. The church would be of no avail without faith—the engine and spirit of the church—which transcends mere statistical calculations. We cannot falter in the mission we believe God has entrusted to us in this world, and specifically within our own community. We are grateful to all those who share in this challenge and continue to press on despite difficult times.
